Who: Faith and Emily What: Faith helps Emily with her self defense and Faith tries to convince Emily to take the motorcycle for a spin Where: The prison to start When: Today Warnings: Faith is going to try to get lucky. I don't know if she'll succeed.
Faith had promised Emily a one on one hands on combat training session. Despite her designs on just getting her hands on the exotic beauty, she was actually taking the fighting session seriously. Faith had plenty of enemies, enemies that were probably watching her. She wanted Em to be able to protect herself if something went down. And knowing her and her life? Something was bound to go down eventually. It was really only a matter of time. Which meant that Faith had a full plate training Emily. They would hit the guns out in town but for now Faith was just trying to show Emily how to get out of a few basic holds.
The Slayer liked Emily because she was "normal". But at the same time she wished the other girl was a little more durable. She longed for a good fight, like the sparring session she'd had with Dimitri. Now there was a guy who could hold his own in a fight. Nobody else in the prison had held a candle to him when it came to sparring. It probably helped that the guy was freaking gigantic. She made a mental note to ask Dimitri for another round the next day.
She didn't sleep much but the days seemed shorter somehow. There was always something going on, someone to meet, something to talk about or oversee. The numbers in the prison were swelling which Faith didn't know what to think about. She never expected this many people to come and look for shelter when Alec had first mentioned it. She just figured it would be the two of them for the foreseeable future. How quickly things had changed. It meant that she had potentially allies. It also meant there were potential enemies. A lot of powerful people in one place might not be the best thing. Faith didn't know what to think. She just hoped for the best.
And in the meantime she was going to work on that one regret. Buffy might hold a grudge at Faith's ability to move on in the romantic department but it wasn't going to stop her. Emily was cool and cute and life was short. And she knew that Emily liked her too.
She held up her hands as Emily took turned punching them. It turned out she wasn't that bad at training either. It wasn't surprising considering how athletic Emily was.
"Good," Faith said after Emily finished throwing her punches. "So hey, what do you say to a little motorcycle ride into town?"
