Who: Diana Prince and Bruce Banner What: Random meeting in the Wilderness When: Today Where: The Wilderness Warnings: None at the moment
She had told some of the people using the local prison as shelter that she would be making her way to them, and while she hadn't specified an exact time or day, she thought it important to not keep them waiting too long. She wouldn't want anyone to worry for her. However, it's always important to get the lay of the land in a new environment whenever it is possible. With this in mind Diana had taken flight, rising above the surrounding trees and into the cool air above them.
Most of what she could see were more trees, but off in the distance she could make out a town and outside of that, what she was sure was the prison. She was moving off into that direction when she heard the sounds of a scuffle coming from below her, followed by a scream. Without hesitation Diana dove headlong back into the forest.
The scene she came upon was that of another zombie attack. Many yards ahead of her she could make out several retreating forms as they ran, zig-zagging through the trees, away. Just below her a young woman, who had obviously tripped and fallen while fleeing, attempted to fend off the zombie who had launched itself on top of her. The woman was only keeping the things gnashing teeth at bay by shoving a branch into it's mouth, but it would soon break through, and if it didn't, one of the half dozen others, currently lurching toward the wrestling pair, certainly would.
Diana landed, legs astride the pair, reached down and placed a hand on either side of the zombie's head and twisted it up and back with such force that it was completely relieved of it's body. She tossed the head aside and took the slightly shocked woman's hand to help her to her feet.
"Take this," she thrust a small sword at the woman, "run, don't stop until you've reached your safe place and don't ever leave it again without protection and braver friends."
The woman took the sword and stared at it for a moment then turned on her heels and dashed away. Diana turned as the first of the others reached her and raised an arm just as it lunged forward, mouth first, at her. The creature's jaws clamped down around her arm only to jerk backward as they met the magical metal of her gauntlet. It didn't have much time to contemplate it's pain before it's head was splattered into nothing between Diana's striking forearms. She made similar quick work of the others without even having to unsheathe the sword at her hip, though she did use her tiara to remove the head of the last beast.
Diana lifted her foot and brought it down with force, smashing the thing's skull under her boot as she replaced her tiara on her head, "Foul creatures. Has Hades completely lost control of his domain? The dead were not meant to walk among the living."
