He stared at her, the smile falling from his face as he stared at her. He watched her as she gripped his left hand and he glanced back up to her face. "When I was younger and foolish I believed in a god. Some higher power like most people in the forties. But given everything that I've seen happen, that's happened to me and that I've done, bit hard to believe in any sort of higher power," he answered honestly.
When she kissed him again he returned it, letting her push him back on the bed. He watched her lazily as she stripped him of his boots, socks, and pants and boxers. He had to admit, it would be nice to feel something. And he knew, deep down, he did need to move on from Natasha. But he doubted he ever would be able to move on. If soulmates existed, he was fairly certain Natasha was his.
But for now he focused on Destiny. While he didn't give a damn on the whole goddess babble, he was more than happy to enjoy the company of a woman right now. It had been a while after all.
