Who: Nathan and Spencer Reid What: having a face to face When: the other night Where: the roof eventually Warnings: angsty angst
The moment that Spencer made it clear he wanted to finish their conversation in person he knew he'd have to tell him the truth. Not that he was being deceptive, but he had skirted the issue. Only Abigail knew he was genuinely considering what Peter Hale had told him. He believed she would understand better than most, and he was right. Out of everyone, she always understood him. They were alike in a lot of ways, but he knew she wouldn't need a werewolf bite to possibly help her. She was managing to help herself.
As soon as he saw Spencer, he held up a hand to speak first. "I know you want to do this, and maybe we do need to do it face to face, but not here. Can we go up to the roof for privacy please?"
At the small nod of Spencer's head, he walked beside him in silence. One good thing about Reid was that he was a lot like Nathan in wanting to be settled in before talking about important stuff. So the walk was mostly made in silence and deep thought. He couldn't get a read on Spencer yet, but he knew soon he'd know exactly what he was thinking. It was likely he thought Nathan wanted to try suicide again. Hopefully he would take the request for the roof as a sign he wasn't looking to do that tonight. Nathan would never purposely put Reid through that again.
Nathan climbed the last step to the roof and found a quiet corner near the pot plants no less to sit down with his back against the ledge. He pulled his knees to his chest and wrapped his arms around his knees before looking up at Spencer's face. "Okay, I'm listening."
