At first Lissa had tried to grasp the magic back the moment it disappeared. She felt it slip away from her and with it a part of her that now seemed empty. The spirit wasn't like other powers that some possessed. It was a part of her and every time she would use it, she used a part of herself. After a while she still missed the magic but a fog began to lift that she hadn't even realized she'd felt all this time. When she'd switched bodies with Alice she'd been without her power, but it had been different. Her own body wasn't lacking the ability. She'd just been in someone else's, but now she felt more free. Lighter.
The others were angry and she understood why. Christian looked like he was going to be able to set something on fire even without his abilities. They hadn't left the prison to go visit Thor because Thor wasn't able to feed all the Moroi like he had been for months. Their friend was as powerless as the rest of them.
Sitting with Christian, Lissa held his hands and tried to comfort him in some way. It wasn't long before she heard Jill approach and she turned to look at her and smiled sadly. Jill wasn't simply missing her water power. No, she was missing much more than that.
"They'll find a way to make him change it back. He's only playing a cruel trick."
She invited Jill to come sit with them on the bed and pulled her in with her free arm and hugged her. "Have you seen Adrian?"
