Since having his powers restored, Azazeal fought hard not to run out after Loki and rip him into pieces. He hadn't spared a thought for the brother of Thor since he'd arrived into town, but now he wanted to take out his fury on something and Loki was the obvious target. However, Viktoria and the child inside of her provided the distraction for him to keep from carrying said vengeance out as he wished. It was for the better.
No one in town had appreciated the act, but he especially had felt the helplessness when it came to protecting what he held dear. Viktoria and both of his children's lives were in danger. So many forces threatened their lives daily and even the nephilim that were there for protection were useless.
Trying to settle back into a usual routine, Azazeal drank a cup of tea while Viktoria was upstairs sleeping. The Ewings were out and he thought he'd heard Gabriel and Kaitlyn upstairs in their room. Malachi was elsewhere, most likely with Christina. So, Azazeal was enjoying his solitude until he heard and felt a presence at the front door. A presence that he immediately felt was not human or that of anyone he knew.
Setting the tea on the table next to the couch, he was up on his feet. Normally the wards would keep people out, but he chastised himself for not reaffirming them once his powers were back. When he entered the foyer, he saw a girl standing there and his guard was up. She certainly wasn't human and if she was here to hurt those he cared for then she would have another thing coming this evening.
