She opened her mouth to tell him. Yes, she wanted the first crack at Kol but maybe she and Scott could work as a team. They had been apart for too long even though they had been in the same room. Like a piece of her had been missing each time, like a piece of her had stayed with Kol. She quickly flashed back to the snowstorm, his eyes swallowing her up, bending her to his will. Swimming in blood on those silk sheets.
She opened her mouth to tell him but before the words came out she looked around her cell and took a pause.
"Where's Lydia?" she asked. "She was here when I left. She was asleep." Allison knew the sentry schedule inside and out and she knew that Lydia wasn't scheduled tonight... or this morning. Allison's phone had been lost somewhere between getting shot and being buried so she wasn't sure exactly what time it was.
She could have gone to the ladies room or maybe she woke up and couldn't sleep and slipped off to be alone with Derek. Or maybe she was hanging out with one of her friends. True to form, Lydia was extremely popular at the prison.
Something tugged at her. "Where is she? What happened out there?" She didn't remember everything, just the feeling of being shot and the way the Hale House had towered over her when she went to "that other place".
