The silence stayed with them, even after Stiles walked away and Scott didn't even try to stop him. It wasn't that he didn't care, it was just he knew. They all knew and something inside of him had changed. Dying and coming back would do that - he thought, but it went even deeper than that. Wordlessly, he followed behind Allison to the showers, he got undressed as she did and when they were under the water, he glanced down at their fingers before looking at her.
Of course he did, they both did, but for Scott, he'd do anything for Allison. Even listen to his best friend that he'd ever known die - for her. He didn't regret it. He thought maybe he should, but he didn't. Yeah, things had changed.
"I feel it too. Through me and off of you." His fingers entwined with hers until he was holding it. The thought of, or the reality of losing her almost broke him, but now he had a certainty that no one would ever come that close. Her eyes seemed more clear, even if they were darker. She didn't look lost, dazed. He remembered when they came got him from solitary saying that she was gone. He knew she was sleepwalking, if that's what they were really calling it. But he knew different. He knew something else was going on. He and her father had discussed it. Compulsion was an idea that was thrown out there.
He didn't ask though. Not right now. His only concern was getting her clean from this night. Blood and dirt and the past washed down the drain and he didn't just let it happen, he encouraged it.
