Lucien knew better than to push. After all, he was an immortal. He ought to be able to take his time with a girl. So he let Marie land at the prison, let her wings dissolve as she returned to a reality where they were impossible. Let his own wings remain slightly out of reality, seemeing to fade as he returned to the mundane.
"Good." He reached out to take her hand, running his thumb gently once across the back of her knuckles. He wasn't fool enough to press for a good-night kiss, but he also certainly wasn't fool enough to push Marie away if she wanted one. "In my experience, one of the best ways to manage a second date is to have a fun first one. But since you're you, and I'm, well..." he shrugged, "me, give me a ring if that second date sounds like a good idea to you, too."
