She had always known that she had gotten a raw deal when it came to her mutation, so hearing what others with a similar ability had in addition to control didn't really bother her. It just seemed to be the way things were for her and if she didn't want to end up bitter, she had no choice but to suck it up. "Immortality isn't all that appealing anyway," she told him as she linked her arm around his. "I've already lost a lot of people that I care about, I don't think I want to go through that again by outliving them." Jean, the Professor, Scott, just thinking about them was painful, she couldn't imagine how much it would hurt to lose multiple lifetimes worth of friends. Nor did she ever want to find out. "Nuisance is putting it lightly but I've gotten used to it, more or less." She ran her free hand through her hair as she considered his offer. "Could I get a rain check? Maybe for a sunrise on the beach?"
Rogue intended to be on the side of the good guys whenever that battle came but she didn't find that to be enough of a reason to dissuade her from being in Lucien's company. If he was telling the truth, then he had no reason to hurt her or the people inside of the prison. It was still a bit worrisome but she was a big girl and she could take care herself. "I suppose you're right."
She glanced over at him with a grin. "That depends. What kind of temptation are you talking about?"
