Who: Connor and Murphy Macmanus What: Cleaning up and clowning around When: Today Where: a church in Everett Warnings: language
Connor was settled in alright...they'd been wise enough to room him with his brother. If they hadn't the two of them would have probably chased someone out of their comfy bed shaking in their boots just to clear the way. The Macmanus brothers had a childish way about them but the most certain thing of all is that things tended to work out in their favor. As far as they were concerned that was only because the good Lord was on their side as they were on His. They'd been busy every morning, visiting the church in town that had been left in disarray. It was shameful really that the beautiful establishment had been forgotten. When the brothers first arrived to pray early one morning they ended up cleaning up instead.
Today was no different. While they enjoyed the prison for the most part and their vehicle was almost ready to go...the church was somewhere they felt a bit more at home. While the buildings often differed there was something very homey about a church, something that made every single one of the same faith interchangeable in the hearts of their followers. Sure loyalties were made in regards to specific places of worship but at the end of the day the Lord shined a smile down on every place such as this. May as well give Him something better to look at than a dilapidated heap of bodies and debris.
Murphy and he had thought to leave as soon as their car was finished but they were starting to have second thoughts. Hearing stories about Everett and what a beacon it was for the real nasties out there made them think that maybe they should stick around. If they stayed in Everett they were bound to find a purpose around every corner. Provided they weren't spinning tall tales about what they'd been through.
"Oi Murph... come gimme a hand wit' the pew here." He was standing trying to raise up one end to set it back facing the right way. They'd been working hard at carrying out all the bodies and had them out in a pile in front of the place. Couldn't very well burn them inside but they were sure the right thing to do was to burn them. Stops the spreading of the disease or something like that...at least that's what he'd convinced Murphy of.
