Josh wasn't taken off guard, the sound of the purposeful shuffling was familiar to him. You knew someone was really family when you recognized the sound of them moving. It shook him from his daze and he turned around to look his friend over. He was wholly in one piece, which was nice. Breakfast was ignored at first and then Aidan mentioned the necklace.
"No are you kidding me? This is great!" anything that functioned would do just fine. He took it and turned it over in his hand before he unclasped it and put it on, letting it hang to see about the length and nodding his approval. "..Thank you." Then he turned to the coffee, grabbing the mug and taking a test sip. It was just the way he liked it, as if having Aidan back safely wasn't a good enough start to his morning.
"So...how was the raid? Get anything interesting?" His questioning was transparent...he'd never been very good at working his way around situations like this. Why try and hide what he was getting at though, they both knew what he was asking.
