Of course he was there--he didn't realize Aidan was there, hadn't heard his footsteps. Aidan had no interest in scaring Josh--so he shuffled his feet, made more noise on entering than he would ordinarily. It was a stark contrast to Thursday, when Aidan had made little move to lessen his sudden appearance. His voice was lower, even--softer, not meant to surprise. It was a little like he'd just come in from another room instead of having been gone. "Hey, Josh. I brought breakfast." It was only then that he really stepped close to Josh, putting the coffee on the desk with the bar and holding Josh's star out for him to take. "I found the closest chain I could to the one you'd had--but selection was kind of scarce. I can look next time I'm out if you'd like."
