Josh crossed his arms tightly at his chest and nodded sarcastically at Aidan's pleas. He bit his lip to keep from saying any of the plethora of things that were trying to spill out of his filterless mouth. That he didn't know how much his friend really was trying. That it was most certainly a horrible idea, maybe the horriblest idea he'd ever come up with other than going back to Bishop and then Mother.
"Well...think harder! There has to be some other way." He didn't want to say it out loud but he just couldn't stop thinking that if Aidan went through with this it would be like throwing away all the effort they were making. It would be taking a thousand steps back and it felt like Aidan was giving up on him. On the life they'd agreed to share together...which was pretty shitty since the vampire talked him into it in the first place.
