"Hey, maybe I'll see you out there sometime." Aidan reacted at Isaac's question--a soft huff of exasperation--directed at himself. "No." A second later, firmer, "No, not at all." His stance firmed and he stepped in, sitting on the edge of (he assumed) Josh's bed, on the side closest to Isaac. "I'm a vampire--why would I be scared of you biting me? I'm honestly just--trying to be polite. You're alone, you don't know me--and when you've had over two hundred and fifty years of people having to invite you in for you to cross the threshold it gets really weird trying to figure out if you're welcome." He shrugged. "Honestly, that's probably just me--but I'm not scared of you."
