Who: Carter and Castiel
What: Two angel brothers walk into a bar..
Where: Wilderness for now
When: Today
Warnings: Nah
As angels go, Carter was the sort that tended to sit back and watch and let certain events unfold rather than taking immediate action. He was less a soldier and more of a scout. Thoughts were implanted and hints given, but rarely did he ever intervene directly. Some of his brothers probably considered him to be lazy and perhaps it did appear so to the average observer, but Carter had a deep interest in his work and also one into humanity. Sometimes his interest went even further than humanity, such as in Georgina's case, but hers was a very particular case and one that he had took great pleasure in seeing her succeed in taking control of her own life. The day she decided to bargain for Roman's life was a day that he experienced both disappointment and admiration for her.
Regardless, what was done was done and Jerome had been given his position again which meant that he and Carter could resume their normal duties. Souls were there to be watched over or taken and drinks were had. The other members of Jerome's group stayed behind in Seattle, but other business took him and the others to Everett. Azazeal had managed to get himself into quite a predicament and he realized quickly that the man himself wanted what Carter did. For the child to grow without influences from either side. It may have gone against what he was there to achieve, but Carter didn't want this world to end or be purged by either heaven or hell. He had a respect for humans that many like him didn't have and knew they would persevere. It would take much time and effort, but they would come out of this stronger.
It was mid afternoon when he decided to take a walk around the wilderness. The hours before dusk were some of his favorite and he'd found the woods to be quite welcoming. Zombies didn't bother him in the least and so far that was the only trouble they'd come across since arriving.
He hadn't been away from his and Jerome's cabin for long when he sensed a familiar presence and wasn't surprised in the least when Castiel appeared near him. He smiled at his brother.
"Hello there, Castiel. Are you out enjoying this wonderful evening as well? I don't believe we will have too many more of these days before the cold arrives."
