"I guess it takes a piece of my own self?" Lissa wasn't quite sure how to explain it since she wasn't even sure exactly what part of her it took besides her sanity. "All Moroi vampires normally specialize in one of four elements. Fire, water, earth, and air. Christian has his fire and Jill has water. They pull their abilities from the elements and the world around them. It was until only a few years ago that I realized what I'd specialized in - spirit. It was thought to be a myth or that it had faded away completely from our race and I'd always thought that I simply hadn't specialized at all. When I use my magic.. the spirit comes from within, from myself. I've only ever met a handful of other spirit users and the effects of it vary. Some are eventually driven insane or are driven to turn themselves into Strigoi which is our race's version of a soulless vampire."
Briefly, Lissa averted her eyes and stared forward. It was a fear she always had and she knew Adrian shared it too. She'd worried about Rose when they'd been bonded and worried about Jill for the same reason now. The charms would only do so much and maybe that was why she felt the responsibility to keep making more and recharging hers.
"That makes sense," she said and looked again at Claudia. "The way the warehouse moves depending on the time, but checking the location just in case couldn't hurt. If anything it may give you peace of mind to know one way or the other." It was hard to imagine inanimate objects hating each other, but she smiled at the thought of it. The gods of mythos were terribly peculiar.
When Claudia said she was sure another had been born, Lissa frowned. "How.. how do you know? Are you able to sense them?" She wasn't sure if she wanted an artifact of Dick Roman's being loose in Everett because that easily could get into the wrong hands. "Would you be able to locate it if you went out to search for it?"
