She obviously had no clue that the mention of brownies would bring up bad memories for Isaac or else she wouldn't have brought it up at all. She had her own triggers and understood too well that memories hurt no matter how old they were. "Probably best," she grinned at him.
It was Rogue's turn to frown. "Truthfully, I don't know if I'll ever have control." She bit the inside of her cheek and let the bitterness of that thought pass. The cure hadn't worked and if that hadn't helped, she didn't know what would. "Mutations work differently depending on the ability. Like the fire thing? That's something you can control with enough lessons but mine is more like a physical mutation." At least it felt like it to her, lord knew she'd tried to gain control of her touch since she'd put her first crush into a coma. "Like this guy I knew, he went by Nightcrawler, his mutations were being blue, having a tail, and being able to teleport. The teleporting he could control but the skin and tail? No. It just was what it was and my ability feels like that." It wouldn't stop her from trying but she'd more or less resigned herself to the way things were.
"Really? Huh, well at least it won't be stale when I reference it around you. Although you'd think at least one other person has seen it, it was a good movie. Please tell me you've seen Back To The Future?" She refused to believe Isaac hadn't seen that, who hadn't? It was a classic. "Pack? That sounds nice, like family." Like the X-Men. Fuck, that still hurt to think about but Rogue pushed past it and managed a smile.
