Who: Darcy Lewis & Lucien When: Tonight Where: Prison rooftop What: Flirting & shenanigans? Rating: Mediumish? Status: In Progress
It was strange that it took being on the peripheral of a huge victory to get Darcy to feel herself like nothing else had since her brief abduction from the prison. While she still felt - very strongly - that the prison wasn't nearly as safe as she'd originally been left to believe...well, it was strangely becoming normal for her to be half afraid a good deal of the time. Which wasn't good, Darcy knew, and she really was trying to get out of that...and the whole defeat of the leviathans? Helped with that, strangely enough.
Granted, she hadn't been a huge help herself because she really was a terrible shot, but it had felt good to step up and take sentry shifts and guard shifts anyway - though now Darcy could definitely say that wasn't her thing. She'd take the kitchen duty over all the rest of it any day of the week. Now that the big hubbub was over with, things were very slowly starting to drift back to something approaching normalcy, and that meant Darcy was feeling more like Darcy once again.
It also helped that there had been some pretty hot guys showing up the past few days. Darcy was, at her core, a natural flirt, and even her experience with Frost hadn't broken her of that just yet. So when Lucien had initially offered her a drink, she'd decided to pull that out when the time was right. And today just seemed like it was. She'd been pleased that he had offered to make good on the drinks, and at the moment she was sitting up on the roof with a package of Oreos she'd hidden deep in the pantry. Since she doubted the two of them would get through the whole thing in one night, she could always share it with others tomorrow, but at the moment it sat in front of her crossed legs near the roof's edge as she gazed up at the stars, unopened and waiting for her guest to join her.
