"When I first exited the building I was nearly clipped by some stray bullets. From the holes they left behind in the wall, I'd guess 9mm. It could have been worse, I caught sight of bigger guns back out there in the yard," Dean replied, giving the blonde a lopsided smile. He knew how much care she put into protecting her gear and he sympathized because he was like that with his own weapons. To someone else they were just spare guns, knives, but for Dean they were different parts of him, a connection to the hunter's past. For Parker it wasn't just about being able to jump off and scale buildings Dean thought, it was more about her being able to do the things she'd always done. Now with her wounds she'd be stuck firmly on the ground for a bit, though hopefully not long. It all depended on what the doctor said. "I guess I let myself buy into this whole 'safe haven' bit because I wasn't expecting anything like this to happen. At least not so soon after meeting up with everyone again. Stupid, huh?"
