Who: Isaac and Allison (Later Laura and Derek too) What: Rescuing Derek When: Tomorrow morning Where: The Hospital. Warnings: Some violent/gory memories
Everything went to hell in the blink of an eye.
Morning light had dawned on Everett. They'd convened together, managed to get out of the prison without getting tranq'd, and they'd been on the road towards the hospital...but it was all to easy. Too good to be true. The cars had been stopped and they got out and all hell broke loose around them. It felt like leviathans were everywhere, the space around them erupted with the sound of guns cocking, gnashing of fangs, and the roars of werewolves wronged.
Isaac stood at the edge of the fray, it felt like he stood in a bubble of silence, separate from the happenings around him. Ever since his session with Destiny earlier that night he'd felt off and now of all the times he couldn't bring himself to just be in the present. There was a fuzziness at the edges of his mind that was finally starting to melt away. Slowly but surely he knew he was starting to remember and faced with the leviathans now all he could think was not to fight. To let it happen.
He watched his friends raring for the fight, he felt the tension in the air, and suddenly all he could see was how easily they could all be cut down right before his eyes. They were all so vulnerable, so useless. He wanted to run to Stiles, to Cora, to Scott but his feet kept him planted in place instead and he just watched them.
What felt like hours was really just moments and they came to a close with one final thought. Derek. Isaac shook his head and forced himself to get his head back in the game. For once he was doing what his father taught him, he took a step back and looked at the bigger picture. The least of his desired people stood next to him on either side. Allison, her father, Lydia... but he had no choice. He took one last look at all his friends before him, knowing that he might never see them again, and he turned to the people flanking him, Allison's father had said something about how they needed to move out and he felt himself nod in agreement.
He turned his back on his friends and the four of them slipped away into the trees towards the hospital. He took to the front of the group, leading them along the same path his memories took him down, it felt like walking home and his feet did all the thinking.
It really felt like they were walking through a dream, they reached the doors with leviathans on their tail but managed to get the door open. Elder Argent was inbetween them and the leviathans, both his guns up and preparing to shoot as Lydia said something he didn't quite hear. He didn't really know what was happening until he and Allison were inside the hospital with the doors shut behind them. He could still hear the yelling outside, the scuffle of feet and something scraping against the walls of the hospital.
Isaac didn't know how it happened this way, he was alone in the hospital with Allison Argent, of all the people. Did it have to be her?
There was no time to put up a fight, Derek's life might depend on him being able to put up with this hunter. That and... his head was still pounding. He was doing his absolute best to ignore the pain but it was coursing through his entire body and all he wanted to do was close his eyes and lay down. Every now and again some horrible feeling of being stabbed or burned hit his senses but it went as fast as it came. Something was very wrong, he braced himself against a wall as another wave of disorientation swept over him, not even realizing that he was probably ignoring something Allison was saying. He could barely focus at all, none of the less on her.
