"Yes," she said. "Put the puppy eyes away. I'll help." She gave them both a reassuring smile. "Come on in." She stepped out of the way so they could come into her living room where only days before she had vomited up the remnants of a cat gut blood pie. Thankfully, this wouldn't require her to ingest anything unsavory. This was going to hurt them more than it was going to hurt Destiny.
She sat down on her couch and waited for them to awkwardly try and make themselves comfortable. "Drink?" She pointed to the bottle of wine on the table but nobody made a move for it. "Okay. So what are we talking about here? You want to remember. Think about what you're asking me. These are your own memories but your mind is protecting itself for a reason. It might have had some external influences but it's still your mind."
Destiny sat forward and looked from one face to the other. "I can help you but it won't be free and it won't be easy. Everything has a price that needs to be paid. Whichever one of you wants to volunteer for this... you shouldn't have a weak stomach. You should be ready to do whatever needs to be done."
Destiny pulled a knife from a small bag on her coffee table. "I'll need blood and lots of it." They would replenish it quickly, they were wolves but one of them was about to bleed all over the floor. "So you two decide who it's going to be and I'll go grab what we need." With that, she stood up and walked out through the sliding glass door.
