If there were ever a time to fear Castiel now would be it, Destiny realized suddenly. Truthfully, in that moment she was a little afraid of Castiel. He was powerful, much more powerful than most of the other supernatural creatures in the world if not most powerful of all. And right now he felt ready to strike out with a righteous fury that would leave them all as collateral damage. Destiny personally liked being alive.
"Whoa, slow down, Cas. I need you clear headed for this," she said cautiously. Playing with angels was like playing with fire. Not very smart. She wanted to help him but he also had to help himself and in the state he was in he wouldn't be much help to anyone. She walked over to him slowly and took the jar of blood and dirt from him gently. She looked up and met his eyes then.
"It's not your fault." He wouldn't believe her but it didn't matter. Some things were just meant to happen. The leviathans return to earth was meant to happen. Castiel had been their ride here but he would also be their ride home. He just didn't know it yet. Humanity was being tested, yes but so was he.
She walked into the kitchen and opened the container. Reaching inside she grabbed a fistful of earth and blood. She could feel Vera's dried up blood soaking the earth, soaking into Destiny's skin as she set about making the pie. She took a few more swigs from the wine bottle as she worked. She said she needed Castiel to be clearheaded. Destiny much preferred to be drunk when she did crazy shit like this.
Once she was finished with the pie she walked over and picked up Tigger. He meowed in her arms and she held him close for a long minute. Safe travels to the other side, my friend, she said silently in Romanian before she broke the cat's neck. Laying it's fresh corpse on the table she slit the cat's body open and pulled the intestines free. It was always about the guts. She used the guts to weave over the top of the pie like a pastry, then she stuck it in the oven.
"We should be ready to roll in about twenty minutes." She took another swig from the wine bottle before setting it back down and putting the cork in it. It still wasn't enough to take the edge off of what she was about to do.
