Lissa kept shaking her head over and over. She clenched her hands into fists and dug her nails into her palms to help fight back the tears. Jill was hurting, she knew that, but did she really blame Lissa for what happened? Christian had told her that they didn't, but how did he know for sure? Lissa couldn't face her sister right now. She couldn't bear to see the pain and grief on her beautiful and normally bright face.
"I didn't know what would happen. I only to find out who he had placed inside the prison. If I'd known Vera would have been hurt and the others taken I never would have done it!" A few tears started to fall as he whispered to her. Lissa closed her eyes tightly and held her hands over her ears to try and keep from listening, but he still got through. He was practically inside her head feeding the thoughts she had already been having.
"I didn't kill her. I didn't."
The bond was gone between Rose and Lissa, but that didn't mean that they weren't always going to be there for each other still. No matter what Lissa would be there for Rose anytime that she needed her. "We're stronger than the bond. It doesn't matter that it's gone."
