Who: Emily and Spencer What: Talking it out When: Now Where: Emily's cell Warnings: Probably none
Emily hadn't been outside when Vera had been murdered by Dick in front of nearly the entire prison. She felt horrible to be grateful for that in spite of all that was happening, but she was. She never would have wanted that memory to live on in her mind for eternity. Instead, she had been in the cafeteria during the commotion when Val had been exposed as the mole. She'd seen Vera taken out of Julia's hands and dragged away and that was image enough.
When she found out that Dawn had been taken along with the others panic shot through her and she wanted to help. Somehow there had to be a way for her to help but she knew deep down that she wasn't able to look for them herself. Logan, Laura, Captain Rogers, Faith, and so many others were going out there to look and she had to trust them that they'd be found and they would all come back safely. Believing that to be true was a lot harder than it should have been. Emily had always been considered the optimist out of all of her friends, but right now she was anything but optimistic.
Unable to sleep much at all in her cell that night, Emily saw Spencer's message to her early and agreed to talk to her. After finding out about Vera and Dawn, her first thought was about finding her friends and making sure they were all okay. The fight that she and Spencer had meant nothing anymore. Not when people were dying and there was a chance that they could all be dead soon. She picked up a couple of things on her side of the cell before Spencer showed up and Dawn's unmade bed caught her eye. She hesitated a minute, but went over to tuck in the covers for her when she would be back because she would be coming back.
Spencer was standing in the doorway of her cell when she turned around. "Hey."
