The girl simply didn't miss a beat, right down to the facts. He admired her just a little bit more. The housing projects seemed rather noisier than usual and Klaus looked about at what was going on around them. It was almost as if Hell opened its doors and sprung this plague upon the humans. It not only freed all the demons it had trapped in its belly but it created millions more.
"You would have heard correctly, Needy." He smiled his most charming smile at her and noticed how she seemed to appreciate the attention. It was a refreshing change from Rebekah's constant plead for attention and love. It got tiring very quickly and usually ended in her in a coffin. "I am one of the first vampires ever created, my family and I we're called the originals."
He held the door for Needy once they reached Pamela's bar and he immediately got a roll of the eyes when she saw them enter. Klaus was quite fond of giving Pam a hard time, calling her Pamela was just one of them, she didn't like it much. He pulled her chair out and then took his seat across from her as Pam arrived with his favorite cognac.
"Thank you, Pamela." He gave her an almost smug look and caught her wrist before she left the table, nodding his head over at his guest. "She may not want what I'm having, you should ask the lady what she would like to drink before you leave the table." She snatched her wrist out of his hand and he simply smiled at her and leaned back in his chair.
"What'll it be, gorgeous?" Pam asked in an almost sugary tone and he couldn't help but chuckle. Needy seemed so out of place and like she belonged here all at once. Pam was smiling at her like a bloody hawk now as Needy blushed brightly and mumbled she'd just drink whatever he was. He could already hear his sister and her possible commentary on Klaus being enamored with Needy.
"I didn't know it was possible for someone to blush quite that color." Klaus said in a teasing tone as he leaned across the table. He held her gaze for a moment and then carefully poured them each a glass of cognac, sliding her glass toward her with a wink. "It is a lovely shade on such a beautiful face though, if I may say so."
