Who: Rose and Lissa What: Rose and Lissa are very naughty and sneak out during lockdown to investigate the vampire bunker, with a stop along the way to eavesdrop on Selene and Frost When: backdated to the night of lockdown Where: prison to start and then off to the vampire murder bunker Warnings: dead vampires
Rose couldn't believe it when Lissa was the one who suggested that they break out of the prison during lockdown to go and investigate the vampire bunker. The responsible Rose, the new Rose wanted to say no, absolutely not. But new Rose just like the old Rose was driven by the need to figure things out and solve problems. More than that she was driven by the desire to protect Lissa. If Lissa had made up her mind to go she was going to go, whether Rose agreed or not. And there was no way in hell Rose was letting Lissa out there by herself. Not with Dick I'm a horse's ass Roman wandering around looking to piss her off. If anything happened to Lissa, Rose would never forgive herself.
She had spent some time strategizing about how exactly they would get out. Sentry was still on full duty but Alcide and Faith had taken over Dimitri's spot and while they two of them were capable warriors and all, they weren't Dimitri. Nobody was really. Rose knew she was going to have a lot easier time sneaking past the werewolf and the slayer than she would have getting past the god of St. Vlad's.
Eventually she decided that the way to go was all the way down to Cellblock Z. Her and Lissa walked through the musty cold areas of the prison wandering at how something in August could be so cool. She would have to remember that the empty cellblocks were cool the next time the heat started to bug her. They made it all the way down to Cellblock Z and Rose was cleaning cobwebs from her long dark hair. "I feel bad for whoever has to clean here." Although Rose had a hard time believing they would ever fill up to Cellblock Z. The prison had grown a lot since she had arrived but they were still a long way from filled up.
"Put this on." She handed Lissa a black hoodie. Rose had a lot easier time blending in at night with her dark complexion and her blue black hair. Lissa on the other hand was all porcelain pale skin like most Moroi and pale blonde hair. The two of them fussed with the hoodie until every single strand of light colored hair was tucked in. "There."
Once they were out in the yard, Rose looked around to see if anyone was watching. She tossed her own hoodie up over the barbed wire at the top of the fence so Lissa wouldn't hurt herself on the way over. She interlocked her fingers together so Lissa would have a footstool. "You ready?" she asked and she waited for Lissa to nod down at her before Rose hoisted her up. Lissa grabbed onto the wire with the hoodie and managed to pull herself over the fence and tumble down to the other side. Rose had to admit she was impressed. That was pretty good for Lissa. Now it was her turn. She jumped up and grabbed the hoodie but it had slipped during Lissa's tumble over the fence and the barbed wire dug into Rose's hands painfully as she launched herself over the top and landed neatly on her feet. To add insult to injury the hoodie landed on top of Rose's head. She rolled her eyes and plucked it off of her face, using it to staunch the bleeding of her hands.
"Come on." She hustled Lissa off into the cover of the woods so they wouldn't be seen by anyone at the prison.
