Who: Krissy and Sam
What: Stopping someone from being a hermit. I mean what.
When: Backdated to Friday
Where: The prison, then who knows
Warnings: None
Ever since the attack out in the wilderness by that hybrid zombie, Krissy had been laying low. Not just because of the injuries she had sustained, and how she had spent days in the infirmary, but because she just felt like shit about the entire situation. The guilt at scaring Will and Abigail weighed heavily on her shoulders, even if around them she pretended to be normal and like the girl they were used to, but outside of them she was mostly quiet. Not withdrawn, not really, but definitely more quiet than the girl that Krissy Chambers was.
Things started changing after Chris Argent's arrival, though. There was something about another hunter arriving to Everett that it had managed to kickstart her attitude back to normal. It had been hard at first to deal with the fact that he had known her father, that she had to break the news about him being dead, but at the same time there was a side of her that was taking over. That soldier mode that hunters could activate so damn easily, and one that Krissy no longer realized how deep it ran in her blood. Lee Chambers had raised a good little soldier in his daughter, whether or not he realized that before he died, but that hunter mode was stronger than she could even know. It was enough to bring back her old attitude and, add that to the asswipe that had posted on the network, and the fifteen-year old girl that had been so quiet during her shifts and in general around the prison was coming back in full force.
Except, in the time that she had been so quiet, she had noticed a few things. Like the fact that Abigail kept leaving the prison for something so constantly that it made her worry. She would approach her later, once she felt better about demanding something out of her when the guilt wasn't so strong, but it still worried her too much for comfort. Did Will know? Did she have to tell on Abigail? There was also someone else that worried Krissy, and his name was Sam Winchester. The guy was hard to miss as he went back and forth between his shifts, but other than that he seemed to be just...there. Even more quiet than her, and that was definitely a cause for concern.
After her sentry shift, she made a beeline to Sam's cell and stood by the door, leaning against the threshold with her arms crossed and a smug look on her fact that only teenagers seemed to pull off. One that, even if she acted so much older than her age at times, was still a reminder that sh was only fifteen. That, deep down under all those tough layers that she had learned to master long ago, she was still just a girl that sometimes thrived at acting like the annoying little sister to those she liked.
Lucky for Sam, he was one of those people. He wasn't just another hunter - he had been born into this life just like she had, and for some reason that was comforting and it made it feel like it was her duty to check on him.
"So, we're hanging out." Not a question, and it was on purpose. She wasn't going to give Sam a chance to say no, and as she stood there her smirk just grew. The right side of her face, by her cheek, still showed a faint line that would turn into a scar, and there was another one that peeked right by her collarbone, but she kept the rest hidden under long sleeves. She wasn't scarring badly, considering Lissa had healed the worst of her injuries. If anything, they were few and far between, especially considering how badly she had gotten hurt, but she wasn't keen on showing off her battle scars just yet. Right now, she just continued smirking at Sam. "Where are we going?"
