Who: Tara and Pam What: Pam takes Tara away for the weekend When: tonight Where: Fangtasia to start and then who knows where Warnings: Language always goes for these two.
Tara was preparing for another long night of bartending at Fangtasia. It was a Friday so the vampire bar was guaranteed to be bustling. It was the Friday after a holiday which meant it would be doubly busy. She went about her chores right before the bar opened, mostly running a wet rag across the bar and making sure that she had plenty of everything she would need. The cheap stuff for the fangbangers and the nobody vampires that populated the club at night. Top shelf liquor for Pam and Eric and their friends. Tara wasn't even sure how the bar kept getting so much liquor but there was always plenty in supply. Standing in the empty bar, she could wallow in her discontent.
With a heavy sigh she turned on the music. It wasn't on nearly as loud as it usually was on a crowded Friday night. It was just enough to give Tara a little background noise as she finished setting up. Soon the crowd would come and likely with the crowd Serena van der Woodsen would make an appearance like she had been doing for the last few weeks since Nate died. She drank and flirted and danced and inevitably ended up making out with Pam in front of fucking everybody. It was damn distracting to have that shit going on right under her nose. Tara was new to being a vampire and she knew that sexually they tended to be a lot more adventurous than those monogamous humans. Tara didn't give a shit. She didn't like seeing Serena all over Pam and she didn't like Pam taking advantage of the young widow. She was getting really tired of watching it every night and was dangerously close to snapping.
And it wasn't like Tara had anyone she could really talk about it. She doubted she would get much sympathy from Sookie on the matter which was totally fucking hypocritical considering the trouble she got in with those vampires and werewolves. Hell, Sookie's trouble was why Tara was a vampire and while she had eventually forgiven her oldest friend for that trespass against her, there was still a weariness that existed between the two of them that hadn't been there when they had both been human. Or while Tara had been human and Sookie had been a fairy. She guessed at least now Sookie couldn't hear her thoughts. She had gotten pretty good at blocking her best friend out of her head near the end though.
She turned her attention back to the bar and turned on the lights, the music went up full blast and Tara opened the door so the stragglers in the hallway could finally come in. Fangtasia version 2.0 like it's predecessor attracted a lot of lowlifes. It was near impossible for Tara to wait on them without wanting to tell them what stupid fucking morons they were. Sometimes she lost control of herself and did it anyway. She had warned Pam that she was a better dance than a bartender but the surly barkeep seemed to be now part of Fangtasia's charm.
She turned her attention to getting these assholes their drinks and for a few minutes she was pretty busy as she gave drinks to the people who had already worked out a payment deal with Pam or Eric. The newbies had to go and see Pam or Eric first to make their trade before Tara could give them any liquor. It was the price of doing business in the apocalypse. When Tara looked up Pam was actually sitting at the bar.
"Where's your barbie doll?" Tara asked in a low voice.
