Now that the love spell was over, Abigail felt like the prison was getting back to normal. No one was setting off fireworks or talking about love at first sight and Abigail was hugely relieved. She would rather deal with hell gods and zombies than love. In her experience love was a lot more dangerous.
She was happy with the prospect of some time out in the open with just Krissy. At first she had done her best to avoid the other girl altogether much less be alone with her. It was too much - she was too young, too brunette, too much like all of the girls -- just too much. But eventually the more time they spent together the more Abigail realized what the strange feeling was. It had been so long since she'd experienced it Abigail didn't realize that they were friends until they were beyond that and she found herself with a little sister. Which was why she almost said no when Krissy wanted to learn how to hunt but at the same time she didn't want to ruin Krissy's good mood so she collected her rifle and ammo and they set out. When it came to hunting they hadn't had to cover shooting on account of the fact Krissy was already a better shot than Abigail.
Before long Krissy was ready to put everything they'd been talking about and practicing together. She hesitated at the mention of splitting up...but they would cover more ground and it would only take her a few minutes to set the traps Reid had built for her. "OK. See what you can find. I'm just going to set these traps." She watched Krissy head off and then focused on getting the traps set. They were designed to catch live prey and still protect the trapped animals from hungry passing by zombies until someone could come and collect them. She was still hoping to get enough rabbits to raise them in the prison. Abigail didn't know how much time had passed from the time she started working on the traps to when she looked up and noticed that they had already burned more than enough daylight. They needed to get moving back to the prison. "Krissy?" She picked up her bag and rifle and headed in the direction Krissy went in.
