Who: Krissy, Abigail, Pietro and NPC appearance from Will (with permission) When: The night when this is going on. Where: In another area of the woods from where Allison and Lydia had been earlier What: A hunting trip gone wrong Warnings: Oh yes. Blood, violence, etc.
Ever since her outing with Isaac, Krissy had enjoyed the ability to just be out so much that immediately she had brought up the idea of a hunting trip to Abigail. Not hunting like the style that Lee Chambers had taught his daughter for years, though. The Chambers' way of hunting was the kind that tackled on the supernatural, rather hunting for food. Ever since Abigail and Krissy had met, though, an honest to goodness hunting trip was one of the things that they had been wanting to do, but for one reason or another they could never do it.
Now things seemed to be different. Calm, even. It was so strange to feel the sense of calm that she had been feeling the past few days, but she felt...happy. Relaxed. It was so damn odd, and even if it was disconcerting for Krissy, she had just been riding it out and seeing where this feeling would take her. She had a blast playing baseball, and now she was working out plans to bring more sports to the prison. Was this what it felt like to be normal? Krissy had forgotten that feeling so long ago that it felt foreign, and there were moments when it even terrified her to feel okay, but god it was refreshing. Despite her young age, she already knew that feeling wasn't long lived, but maybe it was for that reason that she just wanted to enjoy it while it lasted.
As Abigail taught Krissy what to look for and what to do while hunting, Krissy listened intently. She had always been a quick learner, and it helped that she was having a lot of fun with the girl that was quickly becoming like a sort of big sister to her. Which was ironic, considering how much she didn't trust Abigail in the beginning, but now she couldn't imagine her life without her in it anymore. As the day progressed, Krissy was starting to feel confident enough in her skills and, considering the sun would start setting soon, she reloaded her rifle and turned to Abigail.
"Before we burn all the sunlight, wanna cover more ground and see if we can find anything?" She hated the idea of getting back empty handed. She had seen hare earlier, but they had been in mid-lesson and hadn't been able to really hunt it down. Now she felt ready. The look on her face said it very clearly, she just wanted to put into action what Abigail had taught her.
