Who: Bonnie, Elena, Cassie and Diana What: The Blackwell sisters all in one place at one time When: Today Where: The projects, Cassie and Diana's apartment Warnings: No
Bonnie was a little bit nervous. Even though she had established a rapport with Cassie ever since the fateful day of that snowstorm she had yet to meet Diana at all. Her other sister was a bit more aloof and Cassie hadn't told Bonnie a great deal about her. On top of that, Elena was going with her to meet the Blackwell witches. She wasn't sure what Elena would think of them and it mattered to her what her friends thought of her family. Even if it was a family that she never knew existed. In recent years Bonnie's friends had become her family and with the loss of Matt, there was definitely a void that Bonnie was looking to fill. Cassie and Diana were a perfect fit. At least she hoped they would be.
She met with Elena in her friend's cell and waited for her to get ready to go. They were meeting Diana and Cassie in their apartment at the projects. Apparently there had been some tension between Diana and Phoebe so they didn't want to come to the prison. Bonnie wasn't sure if Diana had a problem with just Phoebe or all of the prison witches but either way, Bonnie hoped to smooth things over during her visit. Phoebe was a friend and Cassie and Diana were her sisters. All of the witches should be working together in Everett to safeguard the town. If they started declaring war on each other there would be casualties and collateral damage which was exactly what Bonnie had been hoping to avoid.
The young Bennett witch wasn't afraid to leave the safety of the prison and head to the projects. She might work housekeeping because it was safe and kept her grounded but Bonnie could snap the prison in half with her pinky finger if she really wanted to. She wasn't afraid of zombies, the biggest threat against her. And she wasn't afraid of the originals or Katherine who were likely the biggest threat to Elena. Bonnie wasn't a new witch anymore and she had meant it when she told Klaus that she was tired of being pushed around by everyone. She did what she wanted from now on and nobody was going to manipulate her. She knew she couldn't kill the originals since it would lead to the death of their entire line. She could make them wish they were dead though.
The two girls signed themselves out at the gate and it was unavoidable, their path lead them straight past the tree where the fallen from the prison were buried. Merle Dixon, Billy Pierce, Jessica Hamby, Dominique, Buffy Summers, Nate Archibald and Matt Donovan. Tears burned behind Bonnie's eyes but none of them spilled. She knew that her time with Matt had been lucky and needed to be treasured instead of clouded over with grief and anger. Bonnie knew that losing control was a dangerous game for a witch with her power. She simply couldn't afford it.
Looking over she noticed Elena's gaze linger on the graves too. Bonnie reached over and took her hand, giving it a little squeeze.
"Are you okay?" she asked. She knew how Elena operated, they had been best friends since the sandbox. Elena's emotions had always been amplified, even before she had become a vampire. Her compassion, the way she took things so personally, she was strong yet so deeply wounded and as a vampire that was all amplified even more. Bonnie didn't want a repeat of no humanity Elena which meant she had been watching her closely. She was almost glad for Wanda's love spell even though the thought of Elena and Caroline together was a little disturbing to her. At least it had been a pleasant distraction.
