"Thank you" She replied with a grateful smile on her face. She had gotten only good vibes from the girl so she saw no reason not to trust her to keep the whereabouts of her journal to herself. Being that she was trying to keep her powers and her past to a mum, the last thing she wanted was anyone else knowing where it was because in the wrong hands, everything in it could be used against her. That was one reason why she planned to keep her powers to herself unless she absolutely had to. To everyone in this place, she was completely normal, and she planned on keeping it that way for as long as she had to. It was the safer move.
"I bet the usual is a comforting thing to have in this place" She commented as she moved back over to her bed and took a seat. With all that went on around the place, and the rest of the world right now, a nice boring routine was a good thing to have. Any little part of a normal was nice to have, really. Of course, everyone's normal was different. Liz's normal had become moving from place to place with those she cared about trying to outrun the FBI then survive zombie attacks. It was a strange feeling to be settling into one place. Now that she was on her own, she didn't think it wasn't safe to keep moving from place to place. It would also make it harder to find the others if she kept moving. She had hopes that if she stayed there, they would eventually find the place as she did and they would all be reunited. It was a complete and total long shot but it was all shot had at the moment.
"Well I'm more of a Scientific American type of girl but I just may take you up on your offer. It'll be a good way to get my mind of of what's going on for a little while" she replied with a smile as she sat back against the wall by her bed. She couldn't help but think of Isabel, her beloved sister in law, at the mention of Glamour and Cosmo - as those magazines are right up her alley. It seemed everywhere she turned, she saw something that reminded of her of someone, which made being apart from them even harder. She was doing her best to keep it all together and not show any weakness. She had learned over the years that that was when the worst things happened. She had to keep up the appearance that she was strong and not let down her guard. Her guard what was would keep her alive.
"So where did you call home before everything started and you landed here?" She wondered, wanting to get to know the girl a little better while they sat there and talked outside of the kitchen. There wasn't much time to get to know each other when they were working so she wanted to take the opportunity to do it while she could.
