Seeing Serena's warm smile, a smile to match graced her face as she lifted her head up and put her legs down. "Thank you. That's so nice of you"
Serena was one of the first people she met in the kitchen when she began working and she appreciated that she was kind enough to give her a tour. It was a nice reminder that there were decent people out there and not everyone had an agenda. The others had given up their faith in humanity a long time ago but not Liz. She liked to believe that was good in everyone and while she wasn't easy to trust right away anymore, she still liked to see good in everyone she met. Being optimistic helped her get through the day when everything else was going wrong in the world. If she weren't optimistic, she wouldn't have made it as far alone as she did.
When Serena mentioned her being busy, she looked to where she was gesturing then she looked back up the blonde girl and shook her head. "No I'm finished with that now" She told her as she reached over and grabbed it.
She stuck the pen she found in the rings then put it under her pillow where hopefully no one would find it. She wasn't one to keep her journal laying out in the room for fear of people reading it. She learned her lesson the one time it went missing and ever since then, she made sure it was well hidden. Under her pillow wasn't the best spot for her to put it but given the limited space she had, it was the best she could do.
"Where I keep that is just between you and me" She requested as she stood up from her beg and moved over to where the girl. "How has your day been?" She wondered as stopped infront of the girl, her hands going in the back pockets of her jeans.
