Who: Steve and Christopher
What: Steve finds himself confused by his sudden need to be near a guy he doesn't know
Where: the Inn
When: Thursday
Warnings: Nah
Steve Rogers was a traditional man. He liked baseball and apple pie. He was devoted to his country and his friends who were now his family. He called women ma'am, and men sir. He opened doors and he still believed there was good in most people. He'd only loved one person in his life, and he still carried her picture with him. Steve believed in courting someone when he was attracted to them. In the institution of marriage. In having children and raising them together to be good people.
None of these things had changed. Not during his time in ice. Not after fighting aliens. Not after discovering zombies and demons. Steve was who he was. He was a man lost in time, but he was a good man. A man with honor. With integrity.
With a crush on a guy he didn't even know.
He found himself at the door of the Inn, shifting on his feet awkwardly as he tried to get the courage up to knock on the door. Christopher Ewing lived at the Inn. Christopher was someone that Steve was suddenly obsessed with thinking about.
Was he okay?
Was he safe?
Did he need anything?
Steve didn't understand it. He had this intense desire to be near Christopher, yet he didn't recall ever meeting him. Sure they fought together with Glory.
He'd been so brave. So gallant. Steve had been impressed with his honor and his sacrifice. But he didn't want him to sacrifice more.
No, he'd stay close and protect him. First things first, he had to knock the door. So he did. And then he waited. Because he needed to properly introduce himself.
