Nothing was wrong? Seriously, Tyler? The look on Alcide's face made it clear that he did not believe that his friend was fine. Maybe he really did hit himself too hard against the wall. Of course, that didn't explain the arm groping he had done during the meeting, but well Alcide was trying to be logical here.
Except for the fact that nothing seemed to be logical about any of this.
"Discuss... Right now? You sure? We can take a break and just discuss it later." Yes, later. He wanted to go talk to Ellis. But, basically, he just wanted to see if Zoey was around. Zoey. Damn, his roommate had great taste. For a second he felt a twinge of something akin to jealousy spark within him as he thought of Ellis and Zoey being together, but he pushed it back as much as he could.
Tyler helped with that, though, because suddenly he was being pulled into his cell. Alcide and Tyler had met on the road, so the older wolf believed he knew his friend very well, which was why he was so damn weirded out by all the smiles. And, seriously Tyler, had he forgotten about personal space??
"Uh no, I think we're good how we are. I mean. This way we spread out strengths better, you know?"
Yes, there you go. Spreading strengths. It really had nothing to do with the fact that Alcide was taking a step back, although he was good at making it look casual as he leaned against the wall.
