Who: Parker and Shawn
What: Finding love in all the wrong places
When: 21st
Where: The prison roof
Warnings: none..unless you're afraid to read the hilarious and sappy.
Something had been eating at Shawn all day. He saw someone while walking the halls coming from a late night sentry duty... and he couldn't get her out of his mind. Of course he'd stopped and watched her walk by as he did most people and observed everything there was to know about her in the moments he saw her. He noticed the residue from the roof on her pant's hem, the equipment she carried, the way she carried herself. She was tense. Something was probably worrying her angelic blonde head...and if Shawn was good for anything it was cheering someone up.
He had been on his way to see Gus but this seemed like a worthy side-quest. On that thought he went to the cafeteria, grabbed two water bottles, and snuck his way up to the roof. He didn't know if he had to sneak anymore, but he usually found himself sneaking around so old habits died hard. He stood at the top of the stairs leading to the roof and took a moment to compose himself. He wanted to walk out there and be as serious as possible, no more joker, no more inner child or whatever it was he had going on. Shawn wanted to look this goddess in the eyes and tell her that she changed his life by existing. Tell her something he once told another woman he loved...that he was a motorcycle man, it was freedom and danger and living...but seeing her in that hallway today...made him want to buy a car.
Without further ado and no more self-reassuring mumbling under his breath, he opened the door to the roof and stepped out. His first steps out were tentative at best, holding the bottles together in front of him as he teetered on each step as if the floor were trying to hold him back. "Hey...Parker." his voice was way more subdued that usual and he didn't know what to do with himself. He looked like a lost puppy that probably had a car splash it with water once or twice. Unfortunately he couldn't keep up his seriousness, per always, and he broke. A charismatic smile beamed from his face and his steps became light as he bounded up near her. "I was thinking about what you said on the net the other day. Now, usually i'm not into roleplay or anything but if you really want...I can be your Hardy Son." In his head he berated himself with a very sarcastic 'nailed it, great job Shawn' but his smile was unfaltered. Would he ever be able to be serious for one second and get something done? He thought not.
