Who: Rose and Scott
What: Rose falls in love
When: Thursday, June 20th- afternoon
Where: The prison
Warnings: Ridiculousness
Something inside of Rose changed when she saw Scott McCall walk by. They had passed each other in these halls at least a hundred times since Rose had joined the prison. They were casual, friendly enough to say hello but not much more than that. Rose didn't know him, had no real interest in getting to know although he seemed nice enough. She just had never really noticed him before. Not until one fateful afternoon that would change her heart. She turned and watched him walk away. Watched the way he walked, the way his shoulders moved, checked out his ass. Nice.
Whoa. What the hell, Hathaway? She pulled her eyes away from Scott and thought about what had just happened. She loved Dimitri. She sacrificed her future, everything for Dimitri. She would walk through hot coals across this entire damn country for Dimitri. He was the god, the warrior angel. He was strong and kind and beautiful and fierce and he understood her. She loved Dimitri. But in that moment, the love for Dimitri seemed so small, so tawdry compared to her love for Scott. She could love more than one person at once, she reasoned. She loved Dimitri and Lissa. Why couldn't there be room in her heart for Scott too?
Scott. She could still smell his aftershave even though he had already passed her by. This feeling inside of her couldn't be stopped. She didn't know why she had never noticed Scott before. Now that she had he seemed so obviously perfect for her. He was a badass fighter, a half human half werewolf to balance out her half vampire half human. He was so cute. That look in his dark eyes. The way his mouth hung open even when he smiled.
"Scott! Hey!"
On a sudden whim she went charging down the hallway after him. "Hey, Scott." She came to a sudden stop in front of him and smiled realizing she had no idea what she was going to say next. All she could do was smile because he was looking at her and those eyes. She wanted to run her fingers through his hair. She wanted to touch him, kiss him. She just wanted him. "What are you up to?" she asked him. "You're not working, are you? I'm off so I thought maybe we could hang out."
