Who: Victor/Tony (Open or can stand alone as a narrative)
What: returning to the prison after another upgrade
When: now
Where: Prison
Warnings: nah
After nearly dying during the fight with Glory's minions, Priya had stopped fighting so much when Tony told her that he needed more upgrades. He'd immediately gone and gotten medical implants once the fight was over. The prison was getting too many people inside with the few doctors that were available. He would still be working as a raider, but with the new schedule, he was able to devote time to the infirmary. Now he had the qualifications to assist them as a doctor.
The shock of hearing Matt and Nate were gone made him pause. That could have been him. Serena was a young widow. That could have been Priya. People were grieving hard. So many had cared about them, and there was only two resident Psychiatrists on staff to help a prison full of people who were grieving. The more he thought about it, the more he remembered his own issues with PTSD. The survivors here, even the ones not grieving a personal loss, had to be stressed out from the various things they had endured.
He let Priya know he was going back in for another upgrade. He would get the skill set needed to help treat the residents for grief. The two full time Psychiatrists would be the primary care givers, but he could lend a hand, or more importantly, an ear when needed. He would have suggested Priya do the same, but she was already so busy as one of the few full time medical doctors, he figured she wanted to stay focused on that.
After every upgrade, he came back feeling different. New skills, new memories, it was all there. This time was like the others, yet oddly different in another way. Because he felt so compassionate. So tuned in to the people around him. He walked the halls of the prison, observing and taking mental notes of what he saw displayed emotionally. So many mixed issues and feelings, and he wanted to help them.
He would help them.
