Who: The Secret Circle
What: Kicking ass and taking names in battle (Backdated.)
Where: Wilderness
When: Battle time
Rating: High for violence
Cassie Blake had never seen so much blood in her life. Sure, once part of the circle and a witch, dark at that, she'd seen her share of violence and death. It came with the territory; they were hunted and not just by witch hunters. Her father had wanted to kill off the white magic users in the circle. It was why she killed him and how she knew that Diana and her would do anything and everything to keep their friends alive. What frightened her? Not the death. Not the gore of it all. No, it was the loss of herself as she took up the hands of the other witches within the circle and began to work their magic. They were truly one entity in this moment, one powerful being and Cassie felt they were unstoppable. Then the sky split and what appeared to be hundreds of demonic beings plummeted to earth. Cassie didn't even have a chance to scream or yell out. The circle was broken and Melissa was on the ground, bleeding from her stomach and the blond witch had a sick sense of joy at the sight. If she died, Adam would-No! No. She couldn't think that way, but if Melissa-
The sudden impact of the attack was enough to pull Cassie from her envious, horrible thoughts and she look up just in time to catch a demon with her telekinesis and send him spirally into a tree. Diana caught her hand and Adam took her other; the male witch in the middle. The power flowing between the the three was overwhelming and Cassie had never seen Adam or Diana so dark before. If she hadn't been so caught up in her own euphoria at the magic flooding her own system, she'd have felt a bit of fear. Instead, all she felt was power, immense and strong, as the three witches defended Faye and the fallen Melissa with their combined strength and magic. It didn't surprise her that soon, demons disintergrated around them. Dust clogged the air around them and soon all three were coated in a layer of bone dust. Cassie started coughing as the particles clogged her nose. They were so powerful that they were turning these things to ashes, literally nothing in seconds. It was...amazing.
Their line broke and despite her desire to leave Melissa to die-it was so much stronger now then before-she willed herself to stand in front of the other two witches, creating almost a barrier between them an the demons falling towards earth. Roots shot from the ground around her, taking hold of the the ugly beings and squeezing the life from their lungs-if they had them. The more death she caused, the more pain and suffering, the easier it became to forget everything else. One look at Diana and she knew her half-sister was as lost in the moment as she was. Their eyes were mirrors of lifelessness, darkness, and Cassie glanced down, seeing her veins popping up and flowing visibly, like tiny snakes, over her pale skin. Diana had the same thing and she swallowed. There was another familiar presence-Bonnie. One glance to the side and Cassie saw her other half-sister and in the moment, she looked just like the blond. The veins exploding from her skin, wind ripping through brunette hair. It was beautiful, but frightening. Truly sublime. Cassie wondered that if the rest of the circle had not been caught up in the fight if they would have been rather frightened about the change occurring around and within the three women.
