Who: Wanda, Lorna, Pietro, Adrian, Jill and Npc'd Elijah
What: fighting the demons in town
When: during the Glory fight
Where: town
Warnings: demon fight stuff
Wanda was well aware her brother wished she and Lorna would sit this fight out. Of course she knew this because she wished Lorna would do the same. There would be no talking any of the siblings out of going into town to wage battle with the demons who had filtered their way into the city. They were Magnto's children, and like their father, they did not stand idly by without lending their hand to battle. She doubted even her father would be okay with this Glory's plans. She almost wished he was here to teach the woman a lesson.
As they made their way into town, Lorna assured her elder siblings she would be in the air. This comforted them as they figured there would not be as many threats up in the sky. Not that their little sister couldn't handle herself, but she had been sheltered. She was a princess in the tower thanks to their father, and if they were completely honest, thanks to them as well. She was their baby and they wanted nothing more than to keep her safe. Just as Pietro wanted nothing more than to keep his twin sister safe as well.
There were plenty of familiar faces taking their positions in town. Demons were everywhere, and there was no shortage of threats to fight. "Go on, Pietro. I'll slow you down. I will be fine. Elijah is just up the way, and Tony and Steve are not too far off. I see Clint and James as well. I'll be fine."
Before they could debate it, she threw herself into a fight with demon soldiers. They weren't vampires, but they could almost pass for human. Except their eyes were completely black. They felt wrong. It took her a moment to realize why they felt wrong. They were possessing bodies that were not their own. She set her lips into a firm thin line and began to shoot hexes at them. The energy knocked them back, and they retaliated by using their own demonic abilities to fire back. Wanda held her ground. She didn't want to kill the people the bodies belonged to, but she was unsure what choice she had.
The increase of power in her hexes blew them further back. They landed in thuds against buildings, stunned temporarily. She turned to fight the next threat only to discover it was a large slithery creature that looked like a cross between a serpent and man. She shuddered inwardly as she battled it. There was no holding back with her hexes now. She was aiming to kill and when the snake creature blew up, she felt pleased with herself. Though those who got splattered with it's insides were probably less than impressed.
It was that moment of self-satisfaction that caused her to be taken by surprise. A vampire approached, grabbing her harshly from the back and yanking her hair away to sink it's fangs into her neck. She let out a scream as another demon, some kind of creature that was red and purple, the colors of her father's uniform, she thought as the blood loss began to kick in, approached her from the front. It jammed it's hand into her stomach, yanking at her insides as she let out another scream. She wasn't sure how bad the damage was, but she felt weak.
Her brother was there a second later, catching her as she fell and she caught sight of her sister swooping down to check on them. Out of the corner of her eye, she spotted Elijah who appeared so fast he was nothing but a blur. In his hands were two hearts and at his feet were the vampire and creature who attacked her. She opened her mouth to thank him, but he was back in battle as soon as he saw Pietro lift her into his arms.
"I.." the words cut off as her eyes began to roll back. Her siblings would get her medical help. It would be fine. It had to be fine.
