Who: Liz and Selene with a little bit of NPC Max.
What: Demon fighting.
Where: In town.
When: Monday.
Warnings: General apocalyptic battle disclaimer.
It had started out as she, Max and Isabel fighting together as a trio and that was easy but then when more and more demons came out, things got a little more complicated. More and more people were getting hurt by the minute and Max, being the hero that he was, just had to heal them. Not a soul could go under his watch, it seemed. Always the team, they stuck together and while he healed people, she stuck by him and projected him. In cases like this, it helped to be superhuman.
She wasn't as good at using her powers as Max and Isabel were but the more practice she had the better she got and needless to say, she was getting alot of practice that day. From setting demons on fire, to tossing them into the air and making them land feet away from her, to killing them with a blink of her eye with her mind, she seemed to be handling them pretty well. They were far different from the zombies she was used to dealing with or any of the aliens that they had dealt with in the past but she was managing as best she could. Having Max fighting along side her when he wasn't healing people helped. She was stronger near him, which made complete sense to her because their connection was so strong. It had been strong from the second he healed her and she didn't question it. There were somethings that just were and their strong connection was one of them.
"I've got it! You go help them out" She called to Max when he saw another person go down. While he ran over towards the body, she quickly backed up towards where he was, not wanting to be attacked from behind. And that was exactly what happened. Before she could make sense of it all, she was attacked from behind and while she was dealing with that demon, another came from the side and joined in. So much for being alert and focused. "Max!" She cried out as she attempted to fight off both of them.
