Lissa had been listening to Rose's radio while they were all huddled inside of the prison. She knew that she didn't belong out in the fight, but those that she loved were out there and she remembered how Christian had looked when they'd brought him back from the last fight. The image replayed in her mind the entire time and she knew she wasn't going to be able to sit still for much longer.
When demons breached the prison, chaos filled the area and she managed to get outside unnoticed. There was a boy around her age that needed help and she healed him without question. The moment she knew that he was alright, she left the prison and ran as fast as she could towards the battlefield where she knew Christian, Dimitri, Mia and, Angeline were fighting. Before she arrived, she ran into Azazeal carrying a girl. She didn't know her well, but Lissa knew the girl's name was Isabel.
"You're going to be okay. Try to relax."
She could smell the blood and hear Isabel's heartbeat struggling to stabilize. Looking to Azazeal, she knew that she needed to do something or the other girl may not make it. Squeezing Isabel's hand, she instructed Azazeal to lay her on the ground. He did so as gently as he could and stood guard to make sure that no other threats could interrupt her as she wielded her magic.
Placing her hands over Isabel's body, Lissa felt the magic flow through her and into her. A bright light appeared in her vision and the joyous moment of elation filled her and she knew it was done.
Lissa squeezed her hand again and looked into her eyes, smiling a little. She would make sure to check with her later, but first she needed to find her loved ones.
Azazeal returned and Lissa looked straight at him, no room for argument in her eyes. He may have been a fallen angel, but Lissa Dragomir had been a queen. "Take her back to the prison. She needs to rest."
