She'd seen Diana enter the room from where she sat in the corner on a couch, her family's huge book on her lap. In the few seconds it took Diana to realize she was there, Phoebe studied her from the couch, dark eyes narrowed while she picked up the girl's emotions. She knew that the teen didn't trust her and while Phoebe didn't blame her for that, it was a little frustrating. To see a group of young people heading in the wrong direction...it made Phoebe want to help them, if possible, and try to keep them from going dark or evil. She'd been there herself and it was never the right choice.
Standing as she noticed Diana seeming to realize she was there, Phoebe gently set her Book aside and stepped forward, then offered a wide, friendly smile at the greeting. "I am. It's great to meet you, Diana." She took her hand and shook it lightly, half expecting a vision - either of the past or the future - to come, but it didn't. She could have probably forced it if she wanted to, but that wasn't really necessary at the moment. After letting go of Diana's hand, the older witch stepped back and motioned to the couch.
"Please, have a seat. Do you want anything? Water, tea, coffee?" She'd brought all three into the library with Claire's help when she had first gotten there, and was more than willing to get whatever Diana might need. She wasn't going to deny that she was interested in the girl's book of shadows, but more importantly she wanted to try and earn Diana's - and her Circle's - trust.
