Who: Rose and Klaus What: Two rivals meet face to face When: A couple days ago before Glory showed up at the prison Where: The woods Warnings: Compulsion, Rose's potty mouth, perhaps some violence we'll see
Rose needed to stretch her legs a bit and Christian was nowhere to be found. If she was still bound to Lissa she might try and search for him through her but not seeing the two of them in their little intimate moments was one of the reasons Rose was glad not to be shadowkissed anymore. No offense to Christian but Rose didn't really need to see the Ozera family jewels thank you very much. If Christian and Lissa had managed to sneak off for some alone time Rose wasn't about to interrupt them. She walked through the cellblocks looking for Mia or Claire but neither one of them were anywhere around either. She didn't even bother asking Dimitri. He was glued to the prison walls these days, ever the vigilant guardian.
Instead Rose asked one of Katherine's fringe vampires to accompany her so that she would stay within the buddy system rules. She didn't love the rule for her own selfish reasons but was happy it was in place for others. Like Lissa and Mia and Jill and Adrian who were definitely not allowed to leave alone. Dimitri was her boyfriend though which meant Rose showed support for The Council no matter what. Even if she didn't want a guardian she figured it was karmic retribution and accepted one. She didn't even know her vampire's name so she just called him Hoss in her head and when she signed her name on the sign out sheet she jotted down Hoss The Vampire next to her own name. Dimitri was likely in a tower and would see her leave anyway. She really hoped sometime soon the two of them could sneak away for a little alone time. No reason for Christian and Lissa to have all the fun.
"Let's head into town," Rose said to Hoss. "I'm in the mood for a Mountain Dew. What do you think? Or are you on a strictly blood diet?" There were so many different vampires in town it was damn impossible to keep track of them all. Rose longed for the days when things were easy and black and white. Strigoi were bad, kill them or die. End of story, no footnotes or asterisks. Just death for those that were already undead. She knew she was a hypocrite because if things had remained black and white, if things had stayed the status quo Lissa and Adrian wouldn't be practicing spirit. They would both be Moroi who never specialized in anything and Dimitri would be a Strigoi. The status quo didn't quit work for Rose either but she did her best to keep up with being accepting of other races of vampire. Even boring ones like Hoss who never talked. He didn't even answer her Mountain Dew question, just gave her a look like she was an idiot. That was fucking rude but she didn't say as much because she was just happy to be out and about enjoying the nice spring day. It was hard to imagine that a little over a month ago they had been trapped in a blizzard.
On the way into town they stopped in a clearing and Rose's muscles tensed. She could sense someone nearby. She longed for the days when she would feel that rolling sense of nausea that alerted her to nearby Strigoi. It sucked feeling sick but it was good to have an early warning system in place. Instead of a Strigoi, Klaus Mikaelson walked out of the brush. Rose didn't relax, he was just as bad as any Strigoi from what she had heard about him.
All Klaus had to do was shoot a warning look and Hoss turned around and took off at full speed, disappearing into the woods. Rose opened her mouth in anger and shock. "Are you fucking kidding me?" she demanded loudly.
