Who: Kaitlyn and Gabriel What: Frost hunting Where: The woods, around town, etc... Warnings: Gabriel's scowl
Kaitlyn was ready to put an end to this cat and mouse game they had been playing with Frost and Jackal Mac. Frost was in town according to the bits and pieces she had picked out of Gabriel's mind during his conversation with her. For some reason he was under the impression that Jackal Mac wasn't around but Kait found that hard to believe. Wherever the slutty blonde went, the big ape was bound to follow. Physically he was going to be much more of a challenge. Frost was just a skinny blonde. Kaitlyn could probably beat the crap out of her without resorting to using weapons. But Jackal Mac was bigger than both her and Gabriel. They had to be careful around him. And the truth of the matter was they were probably all armed.
Gabriel had no idea where to find Frost which made this a pointless venture. The city of Everett wasn't exactly small and there were a lot of people in different pockets. For all they knew Frost had decided to live at the prison although Kaitlyn doubted Frost could stay there long. If Gabriel didn't like rules, Frost really didn't like them.
Kait could abide by them just fine but she knew they couldn't risk having Gabriel around too many people. It was already making her nervous having the two cowboys around. They weren't psychic nor were they built especially hearty in the way that Claire was. They were human, just normal humans with ridiculous accents. Kaitlyn knew she was supposed to find it charming but mostly she was just wanting to kick John Ross where the sun didn't shine every time he hit on her. She knew he was just being himself but it reminded her of the boys that had come before Gabriel and Rob. Those groping sloppy stupid boys who were too ashamed to bring her anywhere. Sure, she was pretty enough to grope in the dark but too scary to take out in public. John Ross wasn't the same of course. He was hitting on her in broad daylight in front of anyone who happened to be around but Kaitlyn had too fine of a memory to not lump him automatically in with the douchebags who had come before him. Her putting him in his place only seemed to make him like her more. Which again, made him different than those boys before. The ones who were afraid of her but secretly wanted to kiss her, wanted to do things with her just because she happened to be pretty.
Ugh. She was getting distracted by her new housemates. She needed to focus her rage on a more deserving target, like Laurie Frost. She had hated Kaitlyn from day one even when the feisty redhead was pretending to be a part of Project Black Lightning in order to gain intel on Mr. Zetes and the rest of the psycho psychics and the dark crystal. Frost had hated her immediately because Gabriel was drawn to Kaitlyn and Frost wanted Gabriel. She could still feel the anger and the shame of that one morning when Frost came prancing out of Gabriel's bedroom in the morning with nothing but lingerie on. Bri had been easy to earn respect from, all Kaitlyn was sass back at her. Frost was not so easy to impress. Now she was still psychotic and angry about The Zetes Institute going under. She needed to be dealt with before she started to come calling at The Inn. Kaitlyn had made Azazeal aware of Frost and Jackal Mac but the Ewings, Claire and Malachi had no idea about them as far as she knew. Frost would screw with anybody to get at the two of them. And as much as she'd like to kick John Ross in the twigs and berries, she didn't want something seriously bad to happen to him.
"Where should we start?" she asked Gabriel. Her handgun was tucked into the waistband of her jeans just in case they came across any zombies or Frost.
