Frost's blue eyes lit up when Selene offered to make her something to eat and give her some ammunition and other stuff. Her luck was pretty incredible, she thought. Perhaps it was her psychic intuition that had lead her down this particular street and into the path of Selene.
The young psychic was perplexed by someone helping her because it was the right thing to do. The right thing to do? Nobody ever did anything because it was the right thing to do. Even Mr. Zetes, who Frost remained loyal to even after he was exposed had only wanted to use her powers to commit fraud, not because helping her explore her abilities was the right thing to do. Frost didn't know the meaning of the phrase but eagerly followed Selene into her home anyway. She was hungry and tired and cranky but was keeping herself in check. She was also careful not to touch anything although she knew she would have to eventually. The impressions that she would get always reminded her of the world that had once been.
"Nice place," Frost said as she walked into Selene's cabin. Where was the doggie? Sleeping in her little doggie bed? Frost almost tittered but then kept herself under control.
