Selene shrugged. "The prison is where many humans and some of the tame monsters live. The walls offer protection, food, shelter, and some amenities like hot water and lights. I help keep an eye on the place, but prefer more freedom. The town is a little trashy, but there is a fair population around the housing projects, heavy on riff-raff and vampires. Nothing that would bother me, but you have the scent of a normal human. You are welcome to find a house or apartment in town, but your nights might be a little... interesting when all the vamps come out to play. Plenty of ammunition and a UV light will be your friend, but there are a few that manage day walking you'd have to watch out for. There are also a few empty houses and cabins around here, but they are getting sort of picked over. More and more I find myself having to drive down to Seattle for supplies."
