She nodded and set her empty cup down on the porch railing. "I think... all of the vampires of my original line I used to know are gone now. It's a good thing you still have hope."
"Will the humans ever really trust any of us? I thought offering to turn a select few would extend my line, but there have been no takers. I had hoped that we could prove that we are not the monsters of legend, but I suppose that is up to me for now."
Selene shrugged. "Northern Hungary still has many old forests, but I always enjoyed the big cities as well. Paris, London, New York, New Orleans, Rome... all dead and gone as well."
"Any long-range plans? I don't know how long I'll stay here before I'm tempted to move on and see what's still out there."
