She could hear and smell her new friend before she even spoke. It was quite hard to sneak up on a vampire, even a dhampir. She glanced over at the other woman and gave a smile with a shrug. "Just thinking of my Father and my friend Mandrake. I haven't seen them since the outbreak. I know my Father can handle himself easily, but the worry still remains."
She drew a knee up to her chest and wrapped her arms around it. "I guess most of all I miss home. The forests in Transylvania are dark and barely let sunlight through...but it's comforting to me." She sighed. "It won't stop me from helping to protect the humans here. But two of the people my father and I hurt are here in the prison. We parted on friendly terms but...I still worry that maybe they harbor some ill will."
